Calla Life Box- February Unboxing & Review {Coupon Code}

I love the Calla Life Box for many reasons. Not only was it one of the first subscription boxes I ever purchased, but I love the values the owner has towards the products that are included in the box. The company only include products from local Canadian businesses, and a portion of every single box purchased goes to a deserving charity. You also get only natural, organic, and healthy products that are meant to promote an overall healthy wellbeing for women.

Calla Life Box

Here is the owner’s description of the box taken from the website:

“Thank you for visiting the CallaLife Box! My mission is to provide you with an array of useful products to make your month a little more beautiful. Whether it’s a bag of calming tea, some eye serum to rid yourself of tired eyes, a small fitness device to get you working on your health goals or a super cute soap dish so you have something pretty to look at while washing your hands, you won’t get bored of the CallaLife Box. The items will be quite different from month to month so you’ll always have some nice gifts to look forward to. I’ve partnered with many small local businesses around Canada who make each product to order with lots of TLC! Plus, who doesn’t love supporting local businesses!? You can be rest assured that I do my best to search out gifts that I feel confident using and that they do not contain many or any harmful chemicals. We also work closely with a deserving charity and a portion of each sale will go to help them!”

The Box

The box comes in a plain brown box with the ‘Calla Life’ sticker on the front. As I’ve said before, I appreciate companies that don’t send overdone boxes. If you understand the purpose of this business and how the owner wants to support businesses and donate to charity, then it’s easy to understand why she wouldn’t include an extravagant box.

The Price

Calla Life Box costs $38.00/month plus $10.00 shipping for Canadian residents. There are also 3 or 6 month plans in order to save a couple of bucks on your box. Here is a link to buy a prepaid 3 or 6 month subscription.

The Products

This month’s box came with 5 full sized items from different Canadian companies. Each month, the box usually supports a few key companies/vendors and includes 1-2 items from each company.

Nettle & Co Belly Balm

This traditional blend of digestive tonic herbs helps ease and prevent symptoms of indigestion such as stomach ache, gas, nausea, bloating, heartburn and acid reflux.

I tried this tea yesterday because I had some stomach pains and I was so happy to see that it was mostly comprised of peppermint (my favourite kind of tea). My stomach literally felt better in seconds after drinking this tea, and you only need a teaspoon-full in order to achieve maximum results.

Abbey Lane Farms Facial Cleansing Grains

Cleansing grains are a gentle alternative to soap and a wonderful 100% natural way to cleanse and exfoliate your skin without the use of harsh chemicals and environmentally harmful microbeads.

You can never go wrong with receiving a cleanser in the mail, especially an all-natural, preservative free cleanser that can be also used as a face mask if left on longer to dry. I had never really heard of cleansing grains before until I tried a sample from another company and I liked the concept of mixing this with water to get the grainy texture of the cleanser. The full bottle is retailed at $20.00.

Nettle & Co Om Balm

Use on bruises, sprains, tendonitis & overworked, strained, sore muscles & joints. Amazing Arnica Anti-Inflammatory Salve with a yoga twist.

I have always pictured products that are meant to help aches and pains in the form of over the counter drugs that can only be purchased at drugstores, it’s really cool to find an all-natural product that can get the job done just as well. This Om Balm smells really great as well and seems to be very light and gentle on the skin!

Abbey Lane Farm Solid Perfume Autumn Breeze

Set in in a base of fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil and local beeswax, our solid perfumes are unique blends of pure essential oils & absolutes derived from earth’s botanical ingredients, absolutely none of the ‘sweet smells of petrochemicals’ found in mainstream perfumery.

Okay, wow. I was blown away from receiving this perfume. I have never in my life heard of, or even tried solid perfume before so I thought this was so cool! It’s also relieving knowing you’re rubbing natural ingredients on your skin as opposed to chemicals and fragrance from perfumes. Retailed at $18.00.

Greeting Cards

Oh my goodness, how adorable! What a creative and fun idea, to include such useful cards in a subscription box! These cards can be given out for any purpose (Thank you card, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc.) and on top of that, they are handmade!

The Result

As per usual, I was super satisfied with the February Calla Life box. All of the products stay true to being natural, organic, handmade, or homemade. You always get more of a value than what you pay for and the items are extremely practical and come with many different purposes. This box is definitely a keeper if you want to support local businesses while only receiving natural products that support a healthy lifestyle!
