Ipsy February Glambag- Unboxing & Review!

Ipsy February Glambag- Unboxing & Review!

This is my first time getting the Ipsy Glam Bag  so I wasn’t sure what to expect, although I had read up on many reviews in the past and was definitely looking forward to receiving this bag! There are so many different makeup subscription boxes out there and I’ve made it my goal to try as many as possible, so I’m super excited to be reviewing such a reputable subscription!

The Price:

Ipsy is $10.00 a month with free shipping to the USA and $4.00 shipping to Canada.

The Bag:

Ipsy includes 4-5 beauty sample sized beauty products. When you go to sign up on the website, you are prompted to fill out a questionnaire that asks you questions about skin tone, skin color, eye color, makeup preferences and brand preferences. The good thing about this bag is that your items are personalized based on the questionnaire you filled out. You also will get the occasional full-sized item or two which is a really nice treat.

The Products

Ipsy products arrive in a different bag every month. I love this concept because you can use these for makeup bags (especially if you have an overload of makeup like I do).

SOO AE Nature Collagen Essence Mask & SOO AE Purifying Black Charcoal Mask

SOO AE sheet masks help to bring hydration and moisture to your face while achieving smooth and healthy skin. Retailed at $15.00

I love receiving masks in subscription bags/boxes, and I have never tried a sheet mask before so I thought this was awesome.

ABSOLUTE New York Nano Liner

This eye liner has an ultra-fine tip for precision lining. It is also water resistant and comes in the colour black. Retailed at about $8.99.

Eyeliners are always a good go-to product to receive. I was happy about this product because I like finer tips as opposed to chunky tip liners.

Luxie Beauty 514 Blush Brush

Again, another really good product to receive that can definitely be made use of. Although I don’t really wear blush, this brush would also be good for bronzer, highlighter or even powder foundation. It is retailed at $18.00.

NYX Butter Lipstick- Ripe Berry

The formula’s delicate satin texture fused with highly saturated color delivers full-yet-lightweight coverage with a luxurious satin finish.

Again, lipsticks are never something I would say no to receiving in a glam bag. I wasn’t particularly fond of the shade considering deep reds don’t really suite me, but that’s what special occasions are for! Retailed at $6.00.

Luna Highlighter

Luna is a stunning white gold highlighter that can be used on your eyes and cheeks to highlight and add dimension to your makeup looks.

Retailed at $10.00, this highlighter comes in a convenient compact form for on-the-go makeup looks. This may also be handy to use with the Luxiebeauty brush, above.

The Result

For my first time receiving the bag, I was impressed. For only $10.00, you get a value that is worth much more than what you paid. I also liked that Ipsy takes your profile into consideration when putting together your Ipsy bag, although I won’t utilize the brush or the highlighter too often so those were the only items I would have changed. I was really happy with everything else but I’m hoping Ipsy includes items next time that are more similar to my personal interests. Besides that, I can’t believe how much value you really are getting for only $10.00; it’s worth the price even just to try it out!
