Yogi Surprise January 2017 Subscription Box-Review and Unboxing!

Yogi Surprise January 2017 Subscription Box-Review and Unboxing!

I have been searching high and low for a really good yoga-related lifestyle box. I have found a few really good boxes that relate to the calm/relaxation-theme, but prices and conversions from USD-CAD dollar have really limited my choices. I also have found many boxes that only include 4-5 items for a high price, while Yogi Surprise Includes 6-8 full sized items that are always vegetarian and GMO-free, so I decided to give this box a whirl and see what the fuss was about.

The Box

The box comes purple with Yogi Surprise in big letters on the front. There are many ways you can get involved with Yogi Surprise by winning retreats, and sharing your own referral link in order to win free boxes. This is explained on the actual box itself. I like the box, there’s nothing amazing or awful about it; its simply just a nice purple lifestyle box.

The Cost

The cost is one of the things I like about Yogi Surprise, as its typically $44.95 / month for the lifestyle box, which has 6-8 full-size yoga lifestyle items and has over $70 worth of value. There is also an option to purchase a jewelry subscription box for $24.99 / month and this contains 2 handmade pieces + 1 organic treat with over $65 value. However, you can get 15% OFF FOR LIFE  if you click here and use code YOGILOVE at checkout!

I love this box for always coming with 6-8 FULL SIZED lifestyle items. Lifestyle boxes are probably one of my faves to receive because opening them and seeing the variety of items are so much fun!

Soulstice Wrist Compression Sleeve

This is a wrist compression sleeve to help relieve tension and prevent injury. I love that the fabric is made of 84% recycled bottles, and purchasing the sleeve itself helps save an entire acre of rainforest. I probably wouldn’t have purchased something like this if I didn’t receive it in my box, but I’m happy I did because it’s stylish and has functional purposes! This is valued at $20.00.

Pacifica Super Detox Deep Purification Wipes

These wipes are awesome for refreshing the face and removing excess makeup and residue after removing your makeup. I wear makeup everyday (mostly around my eyes) so having gentle wipes is always a bonus. These are valued at $9.00.

Pacifica Lotus Garden Natural Soap

This soap is handmade and completely natural-my favourite kind! It comes with a vegetable glycerin base and smells very fresh and almost citrus-y. It is valued at $6.00.

Derma E Hydrating Night Crème with Hyaluronic Acid

This cream is meant to be worn while you sleep after you complete your usual nighttime skincare routine. I’m in the middle of another skincare line experiment and I vowed to not add any products for the week I’m doing this routine, but I can’t wait to try this cream! According to research, it is a very light cream that is meant to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It is valued at $29.95.

Essence of Vali Detox Renew Mist

This is probably one of my favourite items in this month’s box because it’s super rare to get a product that is useful for the house, and is completely natural and GMO free! I don’t typically use air freshener because of the chemicals and toxins that are being sprayed into the air so I was SO stoked to see this in my Yogi Surprise box. This is a ‘renew detox’ spray for rooms, offices, or just to freshen up! It is valued at $8.50.

Chakra Healing Stones

I LOVE these stones! There are 7 to represent each of our chakra’s and they are for your healing and/or meditating purposes. I couldn’t find the retail value of these stones but there are chakra stones and crystals available everywhere!

The Good Living Guide to Medicinal Tea: 50 Ways to Brew the Cure for what Ails you

And lastly, my favourite item from the box. For those of you who have been following my blog, you know that I LOVE my tea. I love trying new tea and mixing different ingredients together to see what kind of teas I can get out of them. I honestly gasped and threw my hands in the air when I saw this book. This book is a great way to learn about what kinds of ingredients are better for helping certain ailments. As with many natural remedies, herbal cleanses and new ingredients, consulting your doctor first would be a wise idea before trying anything new! This book goes for $15.00.

The Result

This was my first time receiving Yogi Surprise and I was thrilled with the contents. It takes a lot to make me upset with a subscription box but I can say with confidence that this box surpassed my expectations with its full-sized, good quality items. I try to only get boxes that come with natural, organic and/or vegan products so I was super pleased that this box is vegetarian, and mostly natural! I also love the lifestyle aspect of it, as I thought that this box would only come with Yoga related items. I am into Yoga, but not enough to get a subscription box JUST for Yoga so this was definitely a nice surprise that the items were so assorted. I will 100% be getting this box again next month!
