For all of you subscription boxers (or unboxers) out there, if you haven’t heard of FabFitFun, you seriously need to do yourself a favour and go check these boxes out. I’m a huge fan of supporting subscription boxes that come from small/local businesses and are helping people to get the word out about safe, natural products. FabFitFun is a little more well-known but the products that come in the box also come from a variety of businesses and to top it off, they are REALLY good quality! I ordered this box December 1st and it came just a couple of days before Christmas. This was also my very first FabFitFun box so I received the editor’s box, which is the same for everyone else in addition to a couple of surprise bonus items. For the purposes of this review, I will be reviewing the box as a whole.
Price: FabFitFun costs $49.99 a month, and it arrives seasonally. If it’s your first time ordering a box, you will always receive the Editor’s Box which is filled with (mostly) the same 9 goodies that everyone else would receive. Canadian, this works out to just over $65.00/period.
Value: The box always comes with different items that are priced at over $200.00 for each box. Believe me when I say, this is true. The editors box came with 9 items, ranging in price from $13.00 to $60.00. Maybe its just me, but paying $60 for a box that is valued at over $200 is something I am definitely okay with.
Items: The box comes with the following items:
Modcloth Loch and Key Scarf $34.99
The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug $19
FabFitFun Coloring Book & Colored Pencils $14
Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain $24
Marrakesh Argan & Hemp Hair Oil $22.99
O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face $44
Jook & Nona Tag Necklace $65
And then includes a bonus item from the following list:
Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection Eyeshadow Palette $50
OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream $48
Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster $56
Zoya Nail Polish $9
Anderson Lilley Beach Butter Body Cream $24
In my editor’s box, I received the Zoya Nail Polish and the Anderson Lilley Beach Butter Body Cream.
Top 3 Fave Items:
- The ModCloth Loch and Key Scarf. This can be worn many different ways (as a cape, around the neck, even as a blanket) and is nonetheless a completely fashionable accessory that the most famous of celebrities are seen sporting. My ModCloth was the top left scarf with the pretty red, green blue and yellow colours. I also find it very different-but good different- to receive a scarf in a subscription box. Definitely very pleased with this!
- Jook and Nona Love Tag Necklace. I was also very pleasantly surprised to find this lovely gold necklace in my box. I’ve never been much of a necklace person but this isn’t a boastful necklace, it’s small and cute and easy to pair with just about any outfit.
- The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug. I absolutely adore this plastic travel mug for a couple of reasons. First, it mimics a coffee cup and is easy to take with you in the morning. Instead of throwing out your paper coffee/tea cup in the morning, you can keep reusing this; so you’re drinking out of an adorable cup and helping to save the environment. It also holds any hot or cold drink, and delivers a positive message when you drink from it every morning (Good Morning Gorgeous!)
Overall Review: Overall, I was very satisfied with the contents of my FabFitFun Editor’s box. I love lifestyle boxes, and receiving items that compliment all aspects of life and can be utilized at any point during your day definitely makes for a great subscription box.
